The PO has a significant role in maximizing the value produced by the team and ensuring Stories meet the user’s needs and comply with the Definition of Done. For most enterprises moving to Agile, this is a new and critical role, typically translating into a full-time job, requiring one PO to support each Agile team (or, at most, two teams).
This coverAs a member of the extended Product Management team, the PO is heavily involved in program backlog refinement and prep for Program Increment (PI) planning and also plays a significant role in the planning event itself. Before the planning event, the PO updates the team backlog and typically reviews and contributes to the program vision, Roadmap, and content presentations.
This coverPO is involved with story definition, providing the clarifications necessary to assist the team with their story estimates and sequencing. The entire Agile team, which includes the PO, also work together to determine their team PI objectives for the upcoming PI.

Agilemania offers a 2-day SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager (POPM) Certification Training, aimed at building SAFe knowledge that can lead to your Certified SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager (POPM). All participants completing the SAFe® POPM Certification Training course will receive a password to attempt the Certification Training assessment for the same. The participants need to attempt the SAFe® POPM assessment within 30 days of receiving their free password and score at least 80% to pass the exam in order to get certified.
Retake policy – You can retake the assessment immediately after your first failed attempt. If you need to take the exam a second time, you must wait 10 days after the first retake. For a third attempt, you must wait 30 days after the second retake. All subsequent retakes require a 30-day waiting period between attempts.
If you attend the 2-day SAFe® Product Owner / Product Manager (POPM) training instructed by a SAFe® Program Consultant (SPC) at Agilemania, it will cost you around $650 USD. This cost includes certification and a one-year membership to the SAFe Community Platform.
The SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification exam is an online test consisting of multiple-choice and single-select format questions. Participants will have to score a minimum of 80% to pass the SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) exam and obtain their SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification.
If you do not pass the SAFe® Product Owner / Product Manager (POPM) training assessment on your first attempt, the following retake policy applies:
The minimum passing score for the exam is 80%, which equates to at least 36 correct answers out of 45.
The payment can be made through different options by using a debit/credit card which includes MasterCard, Visa Card, American Express, or PayPal. Acknowledgment will be issued automatically via email to the candidates once payment is done.
