The course will also explore how the Product Owner collaborates with the Development Team on tasks such as defining "Done," and creating, refining, and ordering the backlog. Finally, it will tackle the challenges faced by Product Owners managing multiple teams, highlighting the complexities and strategies for effective product ownership across several teams.

This topic will cover essential elements of product strategy and planning. It begins with Product Strategy, where participants will learn to describe and practice creating a product vision, and understand how to relate this strategy to the overall mission and goals. The topic then moves into Product Planning and Forecasting, focusing on different strategies for incremental product delivery and various techniques to plan product delivery over time.

This topic focuses on several key aspects of customer and user engagement. It begins by explaining the importance of discovery and validation work for a Product Owner. Participants will learn approaches for segmenting customers and users, techniques to prioritize conflicting customer or user needs, and aspects of product discovery that contribute to successful outcomes. It also covers methods to describe users and customers, including their jobs, activities, pains, and gains. Additionally, it highlights ways to connect the Development Team directly to customers and users, along with the benefits of these direct interactions.
