Program Overview

Agent-First Software Development with Antigravity is a full-day, hands-on training designed to prepare software professionals for the next stage of software engineering, where autonomous AI agents actively participate in planning, building, testing, and validating software systems. Unlike traditional AI-assisted coding approaches, this program emphasizes an agent-first development model, where AI agents act as collaborators capable of reasoning, executing tasks, and coordinating across the development cycle. Using Google Antigravity as the reference platform, participants learn how to create agent-driven workflows, manage multiple agents, and establish governance and safety protocols. The training is highly practical and group-based. Participants work on a realistic software development scenario throughout the day, using AI-powered agents to accelerate development while maintaining human accountability for decisions, quality, and ethics.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the principles of agent-first software development and how it differs from AI-assisted coding.
  • Explain the core architecture and workflow of Google Antigravity.
  • Set up and operate an agent-driven software development environment.
  • Design agent workflows for planning, coding, testing, and validation tasks.
  • Coordinate multiple AI agents working on a single software solution.
  • Identify risks, limitations, and ethical considerations of autonomous agents.
  • Apply best practices for governance, safety, and reliability in agent-first systems.

Teaching Methodology

This training follows a group-based, experiential learning approach. Participants work in small teams on a realistic software development scenario throughout the day. Each module follows a Learn–Apply–Reflect cycle:

  1. Learn: Key concepts and patterns are introduced by the facilitator.
  2. Apply: Teams use Antigravity and AI agents to execute real development tasks.
  3. Reflect: Groups review outcomes, challenges, and improvement opportunities

AI is used as a development accelerator to explore options, automate repetitive work, and stress-test solutions, while final decisions and accountability remain with human participants.

FAQs

This workshop shows how AI agents can actively help plan, build, test, and review software, not just suggest code. You’ll learn how to work with agents, not just use them as tools.

No. You don’t need deep AI knowledge. If you understand basic software development, you’ll be able to follow along and learn step by step.

Most tools help you write code faster. This workshop focuses on agent-first development, where AI agents handle tasks across the full development cycle while humans stay in control.

You’ll work in small groups on a real software scenario. Together, you’ll use AI agents for planning, coding, testing, and reviews, and then reflect on what worked and what didn’t.

Yes. Agent-first development is becoming a key skill as teams adopt AI at scale. This workshop helps you stay relevant and confident as software roles evolve.

You’ll leave with hands-on experience, clear workflows you can reuse at work, and a strong understanding of how to apply agent-based development in real projects.

It’s both. You’ll do hands-on technical work, but you’ll also learn how to use agents safely, review their output, and make responsible decisions as a professional.
