This module begins with understanding its core principles—visualizing work, limiting work in progress (WIP), and managing flow. In the Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) Certification, candidates will learn how to identify work items, implement Kanban boards, set WIP limits, and use feedback loops to improve efficiency. They’ll also explore Kanban meetings, collaboration techniques, and continuous improvement strategies to enhance team productivity. By applying these practices, candidates will gain the skills to optimize workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and drive better project outcomes.

In this module, candidates will learn the Six General Practices of the Kanban Method to enhance team efficiency and workflow management. They will discover how to visualize work and its movement, ensuring better transparency and collaboration. By limiting work in progress (WIP), they will improve focus and prevent overload. Candidates will also learn to manage flow by identifying and addressing bottlenecks, while making policies explicit ensures clear and shared understanding among team members. They will explore how to establish feedback loops at the right cadence for continuous improvement and apply an experimental approach to drive sustainable, data-driven process enhancements.

In this module, you will learn the Three Change Management Principles that guide successful Kanban adoption. You’ll understand how to start where you are, making incremental improvements without disrupting existing processes.
