Agile Team Coaching

This comprehensive course provides a deep understanding of Agile fundamentals and Agile coaching, empowering participants to facilitate Agile practices, foster collaboration within teams, and adopt an Agile mindset. The Agile Team Coaching course is divided into three main sections: Agile Fundamentals, Agile Team Facilitation, and Agile Coaching.

Agile Fundamentals

• History, Culture, and Agile Mindset: Learn about the origins and principles of Agile, its cultural impact, and how it shapes the mindset of individuals and teams.
• Value-Driven Development: Explore the importance of incremental development and Work in Progress (WIP) limits for delivering customer value.
• Customer and User Involvement: Understand the role of customers and users in the Agile development process, and how their feedback drives continuous improvement.
• Planning and Adapting: Discover collaborative estimation techniques and the significance of process and product adaptation in Agile projects.

Agile Team Facilitation

• Development Path for Agile Coaching: Define the step-by-step development path for becoming an effective Agile coach, respecting boundaries, and seeking assistance when needed.
• The Agile Team Facilitation Mindset: Embrace the core beliefs and principles of effective facilitation to support and nurture Agile teams.
• Foundational Facilitation Skills: Learn how to define the purpose and outcomes of meetings, design meeting flows, and maintain neutrality while fostering collaboration.
• Conducting a Facilitated Session: Create a collaborative space, encourage full participation, and use organizing tools to conduct well-structured meetings.
• Facilitating Collaborative Meetings: Master the facilitation of Agile framework meetings, retrospectives, stand-ups, and other vital Agile ceremonies.

Agile Coaching

• The Agile Coaching Mindset: Understand the role of Agile coaching, adopt an Agile coaching stance, and achieve self-awareness and self-management as a coach.
• Foundational Professional Coaching Skills: Develop emotional intelligence (EQ), and improve listening, questioning, and feedback skills as an Agile coach.
• The Coaching Conversation: Learn how to identify coaching topics, explore them effectively, commit to actions, and conduct coaching conversations.
• Key Mentoring and Teaching Skills: Acquire mentoring skills to coach as a mentor and teaching skills to coach as a teacher, fostering Agile mindset shifts.
• Foundational Team Coaching: Describe team development stages, coach teams towards high performance, handle conflicts, and address organizational impediments.
• Coaching Alliances and Contracts: Establish boundaries and agreements to guide Agile coaching engagements effectively.

By the end of this course, participants will gain the essential knowledge and skills to effectively embrace Agile principles, facilitate Agile practices, and coach Agile teams toward successful project delivery and continuous improvement.
